USED IN THE DIGITAL SWAP MEET! GO TO THE LAST PARAGRAPH TO LEARN MORE ABOUT IT! Goofy Little me is a multi-user website that allows users to socialize by drawing and messaging. Users draw their own unique, goofy-looking avatars and interests and they have an opportunity to view other avatars in a community gallery. Users can become friends, message, and draw each other gifts on this website. While words are a great way to communicate, drawing is the first step to expressing yourself and to get a better understanding of the personalities of users. Because in order to message, users have to draw their avatar first then explore drawn avatars and interests before making a decision to be friends. Why tell your interests when you can show them? Drawing is a great way to communicate without words and to show creativity, passion, and the fun side of people. By drawing interests and themselves, they have full creative freedom to be who they are and find kindred users.

I made Goofy Little Me by using Cursor then applying it to Render with a Mongo DB database to store user data. This project goal was to create a multi-user website of our choice with integrating a database being optional but recommended. I wanted to create a website where people can not only communicate by text, but mainly by drawing. Drawing has always been my passion and even though I am in art school studying the complexity of art, art is always the easiest way of communication. I was inspired by elementary school drawings and relationships where goofiness and authenticity is the best way to make friends. This is one of my favorite websites I have created as it is the most complex and enjoyable one. The most complicated part was adding an email verification code in case someone forgets a password. I thought it would be easy but I was gravely mistaken because I had to do dozens of steps to just link my email to my code.

The small photos I included are the stickers I made for the DMA Swap Meet on 03/19/26 at Retro Night at the San Jose Museum of Art! I shared a table with a few peers that took Art 101 or are currently taking it. We lined up our physical trading items on the table with our laptops displaying our coding project as seen in the third photo. It was very interesting to get to know more DMA students and their works. My take from our swap meet is how completely different we are with what we create but we all made beautiful works that reflect our interests and what we want to give to communities. Many people showed interest in my website and even created their avatars on here. I designed a QR sticker with characters like the avatars you can see on the website. The sticker reflects the fun, goofy, art themes of my website that I am proud to share with other students.
